("Ochisen," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use our Site or services.
2. ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract to use this Site. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION
When creating an account, you agree to:

- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for suspicious activity.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

- Use data mining, robots, or similar tools to extract Site data

5. PRODUCT PURCHASES
5.1 Product Descriptions
We strive for accuracy in describing our philatelic items, but:
- Descriptions of historical stamps are based on current scholarly consensus
- Images may vary slightly from actual items due to scanning limitations
- Condition grades follow American Philatelic Society (APS) standards
5.2 Pricing and Payment
- All prices are in USD and subject to change without notice
- We reserve the right to cancel orders placed at incorrect prices
- Payment processing is handled through secure third-party gateways (Stripe, PayPal)
- You authorize us to charge payment methods for all applicable fees
5.3 Order Acceptance
All orders are subject to acceptance by Ochisen. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including:
- Item unavailability
- Errors in pricing or product description
- Suspected fraudulent activity
- Verification issues with payment information
6. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
- Shipping costs and delivery timeframes are displayed at checkout
- Title and risk of loss transfer to you upon delivery to the carrier
- International customers are responsible for applicable customs duties, taxes, and fees
- We insure all shipments for 120% of purchase value
- Signature confirmation is required for orders exceeding $1,000
7. RETURNS AND REFUNDS
7.1 General Returns
- Returns must be initiated within 7 days of delivery
- Items must be in original condition with all documentation
- Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility
- Refunds are processed within 5 business days of receiving returned items
7.2 Authenticity Guarantee
If a purchased stamp is proven inauthentic by an APS-certified expert:
- We will provide a full refund including original shipping costs
- We will reimburse reasonable authentication fees (up to $200)
- This guarantee is void if the item has been altered or damaged after delivery
8. USER CONDUCT
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any illegal purposes
- Interfere with Site security or functionality
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to user accounts or systems
- Use automated means to access content or place orders
- Resell items purchased from Ochisen without written permission
9. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE SITE AND ALL PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OCHISEN AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR PRODUCTS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SITE OR PRODUCTS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU FOR THE SPECIFIC PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
11. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ochisen, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your:
- Use of the Site or services
- Violation of these Terms
- Infringement of any third-party rights
- Any content you submit or transmit through the Site
12. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.
13. TERMINATION
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Site immediately, without prior notice, for any reason including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Site ceases immediately.
14. CHANGES TO TERMS
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when changes were made.
15. PRIVACY POLICY
